Treatment

Sessions are 50-minutes at the rate recommended by the Psychologists' Association of Alberta ($200/session), with 1.5 sessions (75-minutes) available as well (at $300/session). These can be covered under all extended health benefit plans that include psychology services, and your electronic receipt will include the information required for available reimbursement. Direct billing is offered for Blue Cross, Medavie (Veterans, Military, RCMP) and ASEBP.

Hours: Wednesday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Assessment

An assessment takes several combined hours of activity and can be thought of as an investment requiring some resources upfront, with resulting long-term benefits. The total cost is based on the rate recommended by the Psychologists' Association of Alberta ($200/hour for standard services, $300/hour for legal services) and includes interviewing, testing, and report writing time. The final fee is dependent on the type of assessment and would be discussed during a free initial phone-consultation.

While certainly an investment, most people find that an assessment opens-up opportunities (e.g., resources, supports) and provides answers to long-standing questions, making it well worth it. Because of its practical value, it can actually save money in the long-run.

Some extended health benefit plans may cover assessment services; contact your provider for more information. Your electronic receipt will include the information required for reimbursement if this is available. Direct billing is offered for Blue Cross, Medavie (Veterans, Military, RCMP), and ASEBP.

Assessment Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
